Question 95 Headlight Problem

I have a 95 corvette and have been having problems with the headlight actuators running a couple of seconds after the headlights are up or down making a knocking sound. This problem started when my battery was dead and I hooked up the battery charger, I may have blown a relay or switch. Has anyone had this type of problem and what can be done to correct it?

The drive pins in the actuator motor are bad, thus needing replacement. Common issue. We have the kits in stock to repair them.

One thing I've found... do BOTH sides at the same time. If the pins have deteriorated to the point of failure in one side, the other side isn't far behind.

Yep, the bushings are toasted. I also recommend replacing the gears with the bronze units while you are in there. I just did mine on my 96 earlier this year. Not too hard of a job.
