How is the Battery Tender Plus?? Or are there other respectable brands

will the battery tender plus be enough

Been using them for years. Seem to work quite well. I like the bigger model, as it seems better able to recover a battery that is getting long in the tooth and been sitting unloved for too long...

I have 3 Tenders. As much as I will praise them, they are not designed to charge a battery, they are designed to maintain a battery, and prevent discharge.

Just threw that in for those not familiar with the device.

Oh, and they are a must have for collector car folk.

True, to some extent, when talking about a DEAD battery. But I will say that I have used a lighter duty Battery Tender in the past that I put on batteries that just could not bring them up to full charge, whereas the one I pictured above can do that with no sweat. So the current supplying capabilities of a particular battery trickle charger does seem to make a difference in how effective it is for a battery that has gone WEAK on you.
