Anyone know of any low profile allen wrenches to fit inside a tight space like this?

You could cut an allen wrench to size.

Looks like that part that the allen screw is in has been beat upon quite a bit.

It looks like someone beat the heck out of it. But both axis turn smooth as silk. I can take my hand and turn the shaft like it was nothing. But one day i may want to remove the bearings. I found some low profile allens on Amazon.com

Mount goes outside for use next weekend.

Bought a 10" F/7 Cave and just got it all together today. Maybe it will bring some rain.

Well, it sure brought some rain for up here in north Florida!

Are you going to pour a slab to set these monsters on? You may have mentioned this before, but the memory cells aren't what they used to be.

Cement pads soak up heat and then cause seeing problem as they cool at nite.

No rain here in over 3 months. And i don't expect much today like the Q card readers on news keep talking about. We have had no cool weather, and this is like 7 years in a row of no winters.

You will see coconut palms growing up your way within 30 years as the planet is heating up at a much faster pace than anyone ever dreamed of. There is no mistake that the planet is getting hotter.

Too bad it will take 30 years for coconut palms to grow here. I would like to grow them. I brought back some sprouting coconuts from Sanibel a couple of years ago, but they couldn't even take mid 30s temps and they all died.

Speaking of global warming, I was watching a video the other day where a guy was explaining that the sun is actually warming AND the magnetic shielding of the earth is diminishing, which is causing the earth to warm up. Of course, I don't know the validity of such claims, but the geological evidence points to the possibility that the earth's magnetic poles have reversed several times in the past. And the precursor to such a reversal would be a gradual reduction in the magnetic field as the reversal approaches. Some of this stuff might be nothing more than "doom porn" speculation, yet there might actually be some truth embedded in there somewhere. Interesting reading, nonetheless.

I would think you would have trouble keeping your huge scopes aligned if they are sitting on the ground without a firmer layer underneath them. All that weight wouldn't be distributed evenly since the ground would be variable in density. So how do you get around that problem?

Been raining like hell here and more expected later today. Even tornado watches in effect. Possibly hail as well.

Been blowing 40 to 60 mph here all day ahead of a thin line of super cells. We got .40" in about 4 mins and the main line is about to move ashore.''
