Yeah, we got a BUNCH of rain yesterday and through last night. Our temporary pond out near some of my bamboo is filled up quite a bit. But not so much as we have had a couple of years ago. Luckily the mosquitoes haven't kicked into high gear, but there are a few of them buzzing around.
At least the fruit trees are all getting plenty of water now before the typical drought sets in April thru June.

Heck, it's STILL raining here..... And doesn't look like it's going to end anytime soon.....
Glad I decided to hook up the trickle chargers to the vettes, because certainly they won't be going anywhere for a while. Probably will take several days for our road to dry out.

Rained most of Monday, day and night, too. Temporary pond is a bit bigger. The road is really rutted pretty badly. Only wet in a few spots, but would be quite bumpy in one of the vettes.
Have to see how things look for that car show here in Tallahassee this upcoming Saturday......

Well, they graded the road today, so that should have smoothed out the crevasses in it. Looks like the forecast is saying a 20 percent chance of rain on Saturday, so I'll just have to see how the radar looks in the morning. I would be bored out of my mind at a car show while it is raining.

Yeah, looks like rain headed this way right now. Then supposed to get cold over night Tuesday and Wednesday. They are calling for a low of 36 on Tuesday night.
We went to the car show here in Tallahassee yesterday and the weather was just about perfect. Even got tanned a bit.
I was hoping the nice weather would stick around a bit.
Of course, the pollen is pretty crazy. I blew of the apron in front of the garage with the leaf blower and it looked like a yellow-green sand storm with all the pollen that had accumulated in just a couple of days. At the car show I had to use the California duster about a half dozen times just to remove the pollen that was accumulating.

Heck, the soil here is mostly sand, so unless it rains every few days, it's going to dry out real quickly. Yesterday when we went to the car show, our road had just been graded and already it looked dry as a bone and dusty.
We are looking at putting soaker hoses on timers into Connie's garden plots so we will be able to get away for several days at a stretch without her losing her garden from dehydration while we are away. I've been meaning to put down irrigation lines to all our new fruit trees, too. Just not enough hours in a day, and heck, you would think I would have all the time in the world now that I'm retired....
