Default Mechanical shop needed for Charging issue

Hello again,
It has been a rough weekend!

I didn't want to bury this in my last posting.

I also need a very reliable and knowledgeable Corvette specialist in Miami-Dade or Broward Counties. I have a 93 Convertible with 70K. Overall it is a nice car.
I am having an unusual situation with my alternator.
The Volts meter in the car is riding between 15 and 18!
I don't know what means exactly, but I know it ain't supposed to be there!

If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate any and all suggestions.

Thanks
Bob

I'm sorry I forgot that detail.
I have a 93 'vert.
What causes the overcharging like that?
Thanks

Before anything else, I'd suggest putting a voltmeter on the battery with the motor running. That'll tell you what the alt. is putting out. It could be a simple guage problem.

Thanks for the tip.
I'll check out a volt meter and the battery. A gauge problem would be simply!
I am still looking for a good "vette mechanic if anyone knows one.
Thanks and have a great week!
