• Got the Contributing Memberships stuff finally worked out and made up a thread as a sort of "How-To" to help people figure out how to participate. Corvette Top Sites

OK, just got this set up. If you scroll down the page, you can see the CorvetteTopSites icon at the bottom of the left hand side column on this page. You can either click on that icon or go directly to the site at http://www.corvettetopsites.com/.

What this script does is to actually register hits on your Corvette related website and puts you in relative ranking with everyone else participating within the program. This allows you to see graphically how many hits your websits is getting and ranks you in relation to the traffic that other people are getting. This gives you a real good rule of thumb measurement about how well any efforts you make in order to get traffic to your site is actually performing.

This is not like other scripts where visitors have to actually vote on the site to get any sort of measurement registered. This measures RAW hits and is a MUCH better way to actually perceive TRUE traffic to your website.

So if you have a Corvette related website (and I am not going to be a pain in the ass about how loosely this will be interpretted!), sign up on the CorvetteTopSites site, put the code necessary onto your website, and let's see how things look for you. I use this sort of thing on other interests and it is IMMENSELY popular. It not only gives you the benefits mentioned above, but can quickly become a resource that MANY people will utilize as sort of a finders guide for Corvette related websites. So please check it out.

Again -> http://www.corvettetopsites.com/

Have fun!

Okay, the Valley is in!

Thanks for offering this program!

Hey, thanks for signing up! I think that topsites script is real helpful in giving you a good overview of general traffic to your site.

One question, though....

Why does the banner on the site for your website look like this?:

You are very welcome. Thanks for offering the program.

I just checked and our banner appears there now. I don't see that appears in your attachment. Is it still there on your end?

It is still showing our banner. It is the same banner we currently have on our website at www.corvettevalley.com.

I do have the banner hosted at some free image hosting site. I wonder if that could be the reason?????

That is bizzare you are seeing that message. But it appears it is up from where I am.

Oh, RichZ, we have your banner running on our rotating ones. It is clickable and will bring you right to your website. :)

I was referring to the www.corvettevalley.com listing. I want to know what banner other people are seeing.
I am now seeing the domain message you are seeing. It wasn't there before but now it is. I need to find another host for the banner.

One problem. I can't seem to get into my account and tried to retrieve my password. I thought I used the same username here but it doesn't work. How can I get back into the account. Thanks.

Thanks! Is the banner up and running on your end now?

Sorry about that. Looks like the free hosting service crapped out. I just hosted it on our site. Should have done it like that first time.

That was weird though when you first brought this up I still saw the banner until now.

Yeah, it shows up for me.

Probably that image was cached, either at your ISP or on your own computer. That can drive me crazy sometimes when I make a change and nothing seems to happen......... :crazy03:

Later.....
