Z06Fever! Well, why not? Having one of these toys is definitely an illness for which there is no cure, so let's talk about this specific malady.

I did. I ran it a little today. Only happened once, in 2nd at about 5800. But didn't seem to last too long. Hopefully when this tank of gas runs through, that'll help. It is a ZO6 and that's about where I thought the rev limiter was supposed to kick in.

I was also sort of thinking fuel filter. I haven't changed the fuel filter yet. Just purchased the car a couple of months ago. Previous owner didn't have much in the way of service records. Thinking I should do that also.

Sometimes the throttle position sensor goes wacky and causes this type of problem.

wot in 1st...6500...no problem, shift to 2nd...wot...about 5000...bogged down...kept throttle down...speed/revs increasing but very slowly..let up on throttle..depressed throttle (not wot)..little bucking and jerking, then things settled down again..

I think you need to take it to someone who can put a data logger on your car to see what is happening. All we would be doing here is guessing at the cause.....

Usually a TPS will trip a Light,I wish you were closer to me I'd plug it in to my computer!!! Has it ever had spark plugs?? I know they say that they will go 100,000 miles but you never know what kind of fuel the previous owner run in it!! Plus the more High RPM driving will cut down the Plug life!!!Myself I only get about 65-75,000 miles out of a set!!Also it may not have ever had a fuel filter,I think the book says 36,000 miles on a filter, but I'd have go out in the shop and check!!! My wife would Crap a Brick, this is her first night off in 2 weeks and she is HOT because I'm on the Internet!!!

Default update

Hasn't happened for a while now. I've driven her hard..the only thing I haven't done is wot. 98% throttle...no problem..I'm going to give her another go with wot today and will post.

Purchased plugs, and fuel filter..haven't replaced either yet.

Although tps is supposed to throw code or something...seems logical.
