Yesterday Connie and I had to run errands most of the day, and later in the afternoon when we were pulling out of the Publix parking lot, the external temperature display on the Jeep was showing it to be 107 degrees outside.

We have only been back to Florida twice since we started this trucking excursion and I have to say, it hardly seems like it's been summer! We usually run from Colton, California to points east between North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Wyoming. Their summer weather is wonderful, no where near the humidity we suffer from in Florida. we will be back for a week towards the end of October so hopefully we will see cooler temps by then.

But where is the humidity coming from since we haven't had a drop of rain in about a month?
All of the plants are looking pretty distressed lately. The grass is all brown and crunchy. But the silver lining is that it seems like all of the mosquitoes have desiccated and died off.
Connie and I walked down to our stream yesterday and the water level has dropped noticeably just from a couple of days ago.
I'm hoping some idiot doesn't clean his yard and put a torch to the leaves and branches and have the fire get away from him. It's also been a bit windy, and being hot, dry, and windy is a pretty dangerous combination.

29* on Monday in Wyoming! 29* this morning in Arizona! I'll try to bring some down when I come back to Florida in a couple of weeks.

For a minute I thought you were talking in Celsius....
It's pretty hot here, but no, please don't bring temps THAT cold back with you. Would likely damage all our citrus. And maybe me too!

Looks like the mid-western states will have a cool down about midweek. Maybe it will push down to you guys. I'll be back in two weeks, hoping it's cooler by then.
