WWW.BUYAVETTE.NET! Code correct Glen Green exterior, code correct Green vinyl interior, White convertible top, matching auxiliary hardtop. 300hp 327ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission. Although it was one of the more common colors in its day, it is now getting harder to find these Green/Green midyear cars. We have been told that this car has had just two owners in its lifetime, the first having sold it sometime around 1983. Additionally, this is an extremely original car that does not look to have ever received a full restoration. The paint is newer, and has been well-kept with minimal flaws. Convertible top is brand new and in excellent condition. A matching hardtop is available for this car for an additional $1,700. Door handles look to be original, and function well. Tailights look to be originals, and are showing normal stress cracks. Weatherstripping appears original also and could use some attention to make this a showcar. This midyear wears a set of original 1966 style wheel covers in good condition. Radial whitewall tires show approximately 60% treadlife remaining.. Chrome bumpers appear to be original also, but are in good condition, free from dings and rust. Carpet is brand new correct loop style, and in excellent condition. Steering wheel is in overall good original condition. Gauges look to be unrestored also, but are in good shape. The original GM seatbelts are still in place. Dash pad is in very nice shape with no cracks or splits. Door panels are brand new and in excellent condition. Center console is also in good shape. The original seat covers are in good condition with no rips or tears. Ignition shielding is present under the hood, and the engine has been fitted with an aluminum intake and an Edelbrock carburetor featuring an electric choke. The engine block itself shows casting number 3789817, which corresponds to a 1962-67 327ci engine. Heads show July 14 and 19, 1962 casting dates, and the stamp pad shows assembly date July 24. Therefore, we are advertising this engine as a 1962 327ci 2 bolt main that would have originally been installed in a non-Corvette Chevrolet car or truck. This would make a great weekend driver or a show winner with a little work! Features include power antenna, auxiliary hardtop (available with this car for an additional $1,700), AM/FM radio.
