Tampa Bay Vette’s in the Brandon 4th of July Parade

Sign up now to be a part of the Brandon 4th of July Parade. That's Wednesday 4th of July at 10:00 AM. If you haven’t done a parade yet, these are a lot of fun with thousands of screaming fans all along the parade route. Let’s get a long line of our cars in this event and show them just who we are. All car’s will be decorated with 4th of July colors and if you start planning now, you can develop your own theme. Our own Vicki Carden is the Event Leader and you should reply to her at cardenvl@yahoo.com to get registered.

Here’s what Vicki has to say about the event:

Be a part of the fabulous Brandon 4th of July Parade. Held on Tuesday July 4th at 10am. We will meet approximately 8:30am behind Hooters in Brandon to caravan over to the parade route.

Cars are required to be decorated for 4th of July/American Flag with a red/white/blue color theme. You may throw or give out Candy but this parade does not allow beads to be thrown.

The Club had a great turn out last year and we all had a wonderful time. We can have approximately 12-13 vehicles in the parade. We will need to have a head count as soon as possible. We also need two people to walk with our banner...if we can't get any of the adults to walk, possibly we can get a couple of teenage children whose parents are in the club to help with the banner. Please contact me as soon as possible.

Please email me if you are interested at cardenvl@yahoo.com

Should you have any questions, please call Vicki Carden at 813-477-3241

Afterwards, we will all meet at either Hooters or Barlyhoppers for lunch and refreshments. Be there or be square!!!

UPDATE:
To All TBV Members

For those members that will be participating in the upcoming 4th of July Parade, Vicki has provided the days itinerary. Please review carefully. If you have any questions or concerns please contact her at the number below or use her email address.

Wednesday July 4th we will meet behind Hooters at 9:00am sharp. We have to be over lined up for the parade at 9:30am. We will need to get everyone in position BEFORE we drive over.

Cindy and Wes-I need you at the back of the group for the parade. Vicki will lead and everyone one else will follow.

ONLY VETTES CAN DRIVE TO THE LINE UP SPOT. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN OR OTHERS RIDING WITH YOU, THEY NEED TO PARK IN ONE OF THE PLAZAS NEAR KINGS AND LUMSDEN AND WALK OVER.

Be sure to use bathroom facilities before you line up for the parade caravan. There are no port-o-pottys in the area we line up in and the walk to a facility is a bit far.

Be sure to bring water/fluids to keep you hydrated. We do line up early and there is a wait before our side starts making it's way in the parade. You must have the yellow # paper on your windshield in order to line up for the parade. This MUST be visible or the police will not let you in with the group.

Please be sure that your cars are decorated in red, white, blue patriotic colors and have your Tampa Bay Vette's vinyl cling on the front windshield. If you do not have one, we will put you in between other cars that do. We need to do this since we do not have anyone walking with our banner this year.

Please be on time and ready to line up at 9:00am. I will be handing out the numbers to place on your windshield.

Let me know should you have any concerns or questions. We may have an opening for one more car as a back up should anyone be interested.

More Info:
Brandon Independence Day Parade features 85 units (floats, groups and bands); 10 a.m. Wednesday; free; parade begins on Lumsden Road, which will be closed between Kings and Parsons avenues, travels north on Parsons, turns west onto Robertson Street and ends at the Publix parking lot west of Kings.

Look forward to seeing everyone at Hooters!!
