Default Where to go and get a windshield installed

Coming back from DuPont on saturday, got hit with a stone on 75. I have a 2009 convertible, and the crack is 7 inches long on passenger side. Have called around asking and stopped in on Ferman's , Don't do windshields. I have no problem driving to , Orlando, Lakeland etc. But would be nice to find someone in Tampa. I just want the very best tech. doing the work with PRIDE. I'll deal with my insurance company if they approve of the shop. I have been there and done that Thanks, P.J.

I just had a windshield replaced on a car I leave in Detroit. USAA uses Safelite and they were extremely good. Came to me and in 45mins they were done. Perfect and very professional. I was impressed.

I had Safelite do a windshield on a truck I had once before. They did the entire replacement in the parking lot of the company I worked for at the time. Very convienient and no cost to me. It was done completely under my insurance which also happens to be USAA.

Lakeland auto glass has done a good job for me in the past and did the job in my drive way.
He had a large cargo van so he could probably make it over to Tampa for a price.
I use to have a card but cant find it.

Older post but still a good recommendation if you need new glass.

You may want to check with dealership if you have onstar or nav on windshield...insurance is paying for it anyway...

I used Lloyd's Auto Glass, (941) 364-8390. They did a great job on my ZO6 and had the correct windshield from Chevy for the HUD. They came right to my work place and had it replace within a couple of hours.

I had them install a new windshield in my 2008 ZO6. I called and talked to the lady dispatcher and told her of my concerns with the HUD and the quality of the install. She assured me that they do a lot of Z's and do high quality work. I scheduled with them to come to my home and do the install.

They sent 2 senior techs to the house. They showed up on time, were very professional and did an excellent job. No problems, no hassle, and I'm very satisfied with their work. Insurance paid for everything and I tipped the techs well.

I'd recommend them !

Thanks Lloyd. I will keep that in mind if I ever need to have mine done.
