Default Trans slip

Odd thing is going on with the A6 in my C6. Happened two times. When i first drive the car and come to a stop i push on the gas and the car won't move for about 2 secs. Been cold when this happens twice. I hope this is not something that will get worse with time. Could be a T/C problem also i guess.

fluid thick when cold. filter getting clogged so fluid is harder to push through until warmed up.

I talked to one of the guys at the local "jiffy lube" or whatever about changing the filter in the auto transmission in Connie's truck a while back and he said they don't do that any longer. Apparently they have had issues with changing filters and flushing the transmissions to have the vehicle develop transmission problems right afterward.

But man, if your transmission fluid gets too thick when it is "cold" here in Florida, what to people up north do?

I never have my fluid changed. I had a S10 i had for 7 year and never changed it. Ever since then i never kept anything longer than 4 years.

The C6 only has 27k miles on it. Just did it two times in the last month when i first go to work. Did a 200 mile cruise today and all was fine.

May just be a solenoid sticking. That can occur when the transmission is cold. The symptoms go away once the fluid starts getting warm. Probably won't be an issue in the summer months.

I hope that is all it is. Don't feel like spending 5k for a new Trans.
