Default Headers?

Should i go with coated or uncoated? I don't mind paying more if it helps to go with coated.

I believe that that is an excellent choice.

coated headers will keep underhood temps down. i read an article where they tested uncoated versus coated. uncoated were 415*F, coated were 210*F. that's the biggest benefit. plus they will not discolor. stainless, if they get extremely hot, will turn blueish.

here's an article about it

Quote:
Once again, the difference was huge, with the coated header showing 288 degrees, while the uncoated header recorded 850 degrees.

It's like 350 extra for coated so that is no biggie. Not sure how far i will go with mods. A extra 40 to 60hp may do it for me. The runflats don't grip as it is. So that is another pricey thing to take care of. Gotta pay to play.

Yeah man. You can go as fast as you are willing to pay for. Heck, a stock Corvette can get you in enough trouble with the law as it is.
