Default Captiva area fishing

Any fishermen around the Captiva area? Have a house and a 24 foot boat rented for the week after July 4 on Captiva. Anyone have information as to how the fishing has been in the area? I am trying to get things packed for the trip.
Thanks

Sorry, not much of a fisherman, but here is a link to the Ft. Myers newspaper. This is the Boating and Fishing Section. Maybe there is something here that will help you.

The wife and I enjoy Captiva very much. If you have not been there before, make sure you stop by for a sun set at the Mucky Duck. We also like the Bubble Room (the Tarzan cut of their Prime Rib is fabulous), which is known for their desserts. The Green Flash also is nice with a great view of Pine Island Sound.

I hope you guys have a good time!

Rich

If you have a gps,Here are some reef and structures you can find and this time of year, the groupers and bigger snapper should be out, becareful for sharks when pulling your catch in,Night fishing for snook is picking up also,Good luck

Dad grew up fishing and chartering in that area. I haven't fished in years, but you can check with Dave @ Jensens Marina:
