My friend is selling his beloved 1961 Corvette Convertible which he bought as a project in 1979 and has asked me to handle the initial inquiries. The car is located in Venice, Florida. He is asking $56,000 for the car.
Basic information:
built October 1960 (10867S101270)
67,000 original miles (yes - he has records)
engine block 3756519 - date code of H20 (I think)
engine pad 101270 F0830CQ
single 4 barrel
four speed
red exterior with white coves
red interior (new carpet in a box)
1 year old white convertible top
2 month old Coker wide whitewall radials
drives incredibly well - very reliable
looks very original under the hood
good looking frame with virtually no rust
needs minor body work and fresh paint
hardtop available separately
non-original radio
carb is apparently from a 1962 Corvette engine
washer tank/pump/etc. missing
I'm going to get a better look at the block date code but I'm reasonably sure that it's H20. When the car was reassembled in 1979 they thought he block was bad and he bought a date correct engine. No idea if this is the original block or the one he bought.
