Cruise Inn

Hey Guys, this Saturday the 23rd, there is no cruise in scheduled because of a 5 Saturday month. Since Saturdays' weather has been so lousy and cold, this Saturday is supposed to be sunny and warm, it would be a good night to have a cruise in at Thomasville road Whataburger, around 4:00pm while it is light and warmer. Give me or Don Alexander a reply if you would like to come. Also pass it on to others you think would like to participate. Thanks, Dave.

Sorry we missed it. We've been pretty much out of the loop for quite a while. So far, our becoming retired and having lots of free time really hasn't worked out like we had planned so far.....

Back in the loop soon,

Rich,Hope all go's well for you this week with the car. I'm sure you will be back in the loop soon. It was a great turnout for a real short notice..

That is amazing, a great turnout. I wonder why it can't happen on the planned weekend and at the designated cruise in site that everyone had to have because they hated the Whataburger? :shrug01:

I think that is great, but why go back somewhere that you brought up the motion at a business to leave and go somewhere else because everyone complained about it? It makes no since to me, but I ain't no polisher, let them do what they want.

Personally, I don't care for the new location at Famous Dave's at all. Been there twice and it seemed like the entire time people had to be out front trying to snag parking places as customers left to try to get the Corvettes all together in one spot. Then there is that hedge out front that blocks the view from the road so other interested parties driving by can't see all the vettes and swing on in to take a look. So any other Corvettes driving by who don't know of the meet or even the club won't see the group and perhaps be interested in stopping by.

Seems to me that several times when we were at the Whataburger, someone new just happened to be driving by and swung in to visit when they saw all the vettes parked there.

Since we have been unable to attend the business meetings, we missed this discussion, of course. What were the complaints about Whataburger?

Supposedly no one like the food, there was too much traffic going thru the parking lot, no room to get out of the weather, dirty bathrooms, ....etc. You get the idea

Rich, I haven't been going to the business meetings either,so I will let Kenny comment on your question..

Actually Connie has commented many times that you would think Corvette owners would want to have a cruise-in at a much more up-scale eatery. :rofl1:

Yeah, I guess if you have more than one person expressing his or her opinions, you can't satisfy all of them...

Personally that stuff didn't matter to us. We were there to see the cars and spend some time talking with others. We weren't there to eat.
