Corvette made history at its inception with the 1953 model with only 300 produced, all in White. The next model year became a regular production car at the newly renovated plant in St. Louis MO where 3640 fine examples were produced. It was pretty much a carry-over from the previous year, the main difference being the ability to chose between four colors (Polo White, Sportsman Red, Pennant Blue or Black).
