Default Brrr...

Supposed to only get up to 44 degrees today as the high temperature. Tomorrow not much better. Lows in the mid 20s overnight tonight and Sunday night.

Darn, I was getting used to those 70 degree temps. Christmas day it was around 80 and Connie and I were walking on the beach that day, actually working up a sweat.

Tell me again why they want to STOP global warming? I would just as soon NEVER see cold temps again.

Did you ever think about just how minor of a difference a mere tilt of this earth that gives us the seasons makes in the temperature of the temperate zones that we live in?

Yeah, Connie and I have been talking about making a trip down the keys sometime, but we wouldn't choose this time of year. We tend to like the off season at places we go so as to avoid any crowds.

Yeah, we hit 27 degrees here, at least on my front porch. Supposed to be more of the same tonight.

I think is funny as hell, and shows a lack of perspective on how great florida weather is on the whole...when I see the disruption in the normal way we conduct our lives when the temps here in florida drop into the 40s and below.... yeah! winter temps in florida drag on for an "endless 48-72 hours" a couple times a year at most...., so for those ENDLESS winter cold snaps I slip on a windbreaker or lined flannel shirt...
I can't imagine the panic if we got 4 feet of snow and minus 30 temps for a week or two several times a year, like a few places in the county see almost every year!

When I used to live in Maryland, Winter would be generally cold temperatures with the occasional short spell of relatively warm weather. Here in north Florida, it is the exact opposite. Generally mild to warm temps, with maybe a half dozen or so nights of below freezing temps. And it is a rare day that it doesn't get at least into the 50s.

Like the old grizzled guy at a pecan stand said then he saw my Maryland license plate when Connie and I were visiting this area years ago, "Just why the hell would anyone live up there anyway?"

First colder weather this whole year. Not much rain. Almost no rain in 3 months.
