Well, I see the national weather service calling for a low of 31 degrees overnight, but weather.com, and intellicast calling for it to only go down to 37 degrees. It's 43.5 degrees out on my front porch right now. Hope the NWS is wrong.

Connie and I checked out the plants and it is pretty weird. On some of the citrus, there is new growth obviously damaged by the cold, but there are other areas of new growth on the same trees that look undamaged. And they can be right next to each other. The fringe tree outside our bedroom window got it's butt kicked and so has the wisteria. Dogwoods look unfazed. Carolina jasmine took it hard too. We put a new navel orange tree in just a week ago, and it looks OK. Connie's Meyer lemon trees have damage to the new growth, but the flower buds look fine.

Hope there is no more of this cold weather silliness any more...

I have seen 30's in Apirl and 49 in May once. It was only 40 and 43 at my house the last two mornings.

Overnight temps last night got down to 35.1 degrees here on my front porch.

Forecast is looking much better for the foreseeable future.
