I am looking for a quality detailer in the Saint Petersburg area.
Mostly interested in washing, waxing and general interior and exterior upkeep.
Thank you in advance for your input.

If you're interested in a detailer, try Troy at http://www.detailcity.org/forums/ . You can also order great detailing product from them. They are located in Sarasota/Bradenton area..........

I don't know if it qualifies as "detailing", but I get my car hand-washed every week at Ed's Car Care downtown. He's located on the 7th floor of the parking garage at 100 Central (entrance on 1st Av S). Price for a hand wash and vacuum is $15. He has been there many years and does a lot of high-end stuff. The other day he had a Maybach in.
No, he doesn't get it as clean as I do when I spend 6 or 8 hours at it - but then that's too much to expect for $15.
There has been absolutely *no* damage to my car or to the lexan top. He will use dressing, though, unless you tell him not to. He also offers hand waxing, full detail, etc. I've had him do a full detail twice. He does a nice job, but it's not like the guys that get $500-3k for a detail.
Tell him Dave with the silver C5 sent you.

Someone would actually pay that much for soap, water and wax?

Heh. Well, you get more than that. The upper end of that sort of detail involves disassembling a fair amount of the car. But yeah, Ferrari guys and such will pay that.

Hello Guys,
If you want to care for your corvette yourself. We manufacture top quality auto detail products right here in Largo, FL. All of our products are very easy to use and the best products available to the public. Our Auto detailing products are not expensive because we are the manufacturer. The name of our Products are Flash Auto Detail products. We carry a Wash n Wax soap called Deep Purple. It is a very different wash n wax soap than what other companies sell. We put a powerful wax into our formula. I can not go into detail about the type of wax that we use. You put 2 oz into a wash bucket and apply it with a sponge or wool wash mitt. As soon as you rinse the car the water will bead like it was hand waxed. After drying the car it will shine like it was waxed and it will bead up to 30 days. It will not leave water spots because the wax acts like a water softener. We also make a quick detailer spray wax called Grape Gloss. It lasts alot longer than any other quick detailer on the market. The UV rays of the Florida sun wears down the wax on our cars. We formulated this spray wax to last a long time. Remember, a product does not have to cost alot of money to be the best. We have a retail store on Starkey Rd. in Largo. You can also visit our website at www.flashwax.com . There is a link to our site on the homepage of this site.
