Nothing the last two days. Good to dry out. You may have a mess coming your way.

Yeah, we got a dry day here today too.

Nothing much showing up on radar or the forecasts for this area. I heard about a tropical storm maybe heading into the Gulf, but the weather service forecasts haven't been all that accurate lately, so I'm taking it with a big grain of salt.

Our road is still pretty muddy, yet our temporary pond doesn't have a drop of accumulated rainwater in it.

LOTS of yellow flies marauding the property, but not so many mosquitoes. The mosquito magnets are trapping a good number of them since I put some blinking blue lights on them. The appearance of motion the lights are giving seems to attract the yellow flies to the traps. I've got a few more things to set up near the traps to enhance that attraction. Getting pretty tired of feeling trapped in the house. We put up a new storm door on the front door of the house a few days ago, and Connie manned the fly swatter. She got 23 confirmed kills for the couple of hours we were out there working.

Nothing here. Looked like the stuff that got you was going to head our way but it veered off to the east.

The yellow flies are drying out and worked up an appetite.

We had some rain get close, but nothing here. Forecast is looking drier here too.

Hope we don't get one of those 100 degree Junes that we sometimes get.

We got 0.22 inch of rain yesterday. Some storms popping up all around us today, but no precipitation landing here.

Mosquito population is starting to build up, to fill in where the yellow flies are tapering off. The mosquito magnets are taking a big toll on the yellow flies, luckily, as they are unbearably aggressive biting pests. I've had to change out propane tanks and do some other mods on the mosquito magnets to make them more attractive to the yellow flies, and I had to do all that after full dark so I wouldn't get the crap bit out of me. Which, of course, leaves me open to the mosquito bites instead. Lovely....

We spotted a great crested fly catcher several days ago collecting nesting material. Those suckers need to get busy catching flies and earning their keep around here!

Got 1" on Wends but nothing since.

Was around 100 miles offshore this weekend and was not too hot with some rain close and a breeze. Got some red snapper over 20lbs.
