Default Polished LG Long Tubes

I was a little bored sitting at home tonight. So while watching a movie, I hand polished my headers and cats. I've seen better jobs using machinery, but I wasn't that motivated! I just wanted them to look decent. Pictures don't really do it justice, bad lighting. Anyway, thought I'd share.

They look pretty decent to me. What did you use to polish them with?

I wonder why LGM offers the Street headers as polished stainless but not the Pro series? You would think they would do that for their premier headers, wouldn't you?

The Jet Hot coating makes them look polished, but I wish I had thought of polishing the cats. Not that anyone is ever going to see them, however. Unless my car becomes belly up along the road, and then the least of my worries will be someone seeing my unpolished catalytic converters.....

Rich, I used Mother's mag and aluminum polish. Here is a link to a guy that did 12 hours worth of polishing with a drill/polishing wheel and and a grinder. The headers shined and actually turned gold. Now his look great. I just don't have 12 hours to do something like that. And like you said, nobody is actually going to see them.

If you read far enough down, you'll actually see that LG...Lou Gigliotti actually commented on them. Nice.

Damn! That DOES look good! Maybe you should spend more time polishing before you install them..... You only get one shot at that job......
