I use the water blade on all my cars, 2 of which are black, and have no problems at all. Naturally I only use it immediately after washing, it is great for windows especially since my water is reclaimed water. If there is plenty of wax or polish on the car there should be no scratching issues. Just my personal experience.

Same here.. Been using the Blade since September and like Nytro, do it immediately after washing.
No problems that i'm aware of as of yet.

Sheesh, I am in trouble now, agreeing with Nytro and Ynke!

I also use it immediately after washing to take off about 80% of the water and then chamois the rest dry.

Not me, man. I won't use one. I have some scratches in the paint that I am pretty much certain came from the blade. Not FROM the blade itself, but likely something picked up and dragged across the surface. Of course, I guess a micro fiber towel could do the same thing, I suppose.....

But yeah, it works great for the windows.

Honestly, though, most of my drying is done with the leaf blower these days anyway...

I use the elec. leaf blower and it works good at getting the water out of the tail lights, mirrors, and fuel door. Minor PITA to hook up with the cord, etc.

I had one and didn't care for it at all

Even when used immediately after washing, it pulled and bounced across the surface and made more of a mess than anything else?

I'll stick woth the blower and microfiber towels.

Default Water Blade

I've been using and selling water blades for about eight years. I always wash the blade with soapy water and rinse it off prior to using it. I have never found a scratch I could blame on the water blade. I do use a different blade than most. My blades are a bit softer than the automotive blade. Ours are designed to be used on boat windows. It is unfortunate that anyone may have had a problem with the water blades but my experience has been very positive. Anyone interested in buying a water blade I will offer a money back guarantee. Our blades cost $20.00 and will save time and towels for drying your Vette. I will also send instructions for use for those who would like to try it out.
