Great quote. Too bad we don't know who wrote it....
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president. -- Author Unknown

The desire to get something for doing nothing has (at least this time around) overwhelmed those who are willing to work hard, better themselves, take care of their families and take pride in their accomplishments.
My concern is that these individuals still don't get it; and in a lot of cases, they never will.

The REAL tragedy is that King Obama's election was the will of the MAJORITY of our fellow American voters. Reality is that MOST prefer leftist/socialist ideals or allow themselves to be misinformed or misled

That's not exactly true. He had more electoral votes but NOT the majority of the popular vote. More american citizens voted for McCain than Obama, but the electoral college felt they knew better than we did and put him into power. McCain had more votes and more states and more square miles of votes in his favor. The liberal states (smaller ones but with more electoral votes) were the only ones who took Obama.

Lets just hope that the GOP provides us with some real contenders the next time around...Did not vote for Obama but I do not see the end of the world coming as other might suggest because of what he is doing...
I deeply believe that some people just cant get past the thought that our country is now being run by a black president and not a white one...as far as I am concerned, he can be of any race, color or creed as long as he has the people's interest at heart.
Everyone is complaining about giving out handouts yet we spend billions every year on foreign countries that would just as well cut our throats the first chance they get...I would prefer to spread the wealth internally myself...
Do you really think we would be any better off with McCain & Palin running her mouth off every chance she gets??
Regardless of who voted for him, how many votes (popular or electoral) he got, he is now our president for the next couple of years and we need to refrain from undermining everything he is doing for the good of the country.

I believe you're misinformed. Obama won both the Electorial vote and popular vote. Obama took the larger states with the most people and the most Electorial votes. The Electorial College is the only thing that keeps New York, California, Illinois and such from determining every Presidential election. If it were not for the Electoria College, states like Georgia, SC, NC, Idaho, etc. would have virtually no voice in the process of picking a President. Just because there's way too many people who depend on government living in NY and California, I don't want them to always pick the President.

I agree with much of what you said. The part I question is whether or not he has the best interest of the country at heart. I think he thinks government is the answer to everything, and he's a good enough politician that he realizes that's what many who vote democrat believe. If the Republicans can't find a dynamic party leader, they'll lose again in 12. I don't find Palin to appear especially bright. Once she gets through a few buzz words, she doesn't appear to have any depth of knowledge about much of anything. Although she is pretty nice looking. But a little bit of that accent wears on me rather quickly.
With all of that said, the idea that some loopey broad like Pelosi, who I can't, and wouldn't vote for, can have any impact on my life drives me nuts. Just because a bunch of granola people keep sending her to Washington should not impact me, but it does. I'll also make it clear that I believe Obama's skin pigmentation is a factor in more people voting for him than against him. However, If JC Watts was running for President, he would get a lot more white votes than black votes. It's not about color, it's about ideology. Blacks are not going to vote Republican because the Democrat party has convinced most that it has their best interest at heart. I don't think that's true. They only care about getting reelected.
