Talladega Nights
Today my new HD-DVD player (Toshiba HD-XA2) arrived so I set it up and decided to do a test with a regular standard definition movie to see how well the upconverting would do.
So I picked out Talladega Nights. We've seen it before, but talked about watching it again, as we found it to be a darn funny movie.
And yeah, it was just as much fun watching it the second time as it was the first time through.
Basically a spoof on NASCAR racing that will have you spitting your popcorn out of your mouth when you laugh. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and do so as soon as you can. You won't regret it.
Oh, and how did the upconverting do from the new DVD player? DAMNED awesome! If HD-DVD is even sharper and more detailed than this, I will be stunned! I thought my old DVD player did a good job, but this just blows it away. Thank God, because I really didn't want to feel like I needed to replace most of my SD movies with HD. They will do JUST FINE.....
