Thank You very much. So from what i can tell everything is ok then. Its still weird this guy is asking way to little. I dont know what to think.

I don't suppose that he will let you test drive it? Or take it to a mechanic to have it checked out?

I can understand saying no to a test drive, but I'd be suspicious about saying no to the mechanic deal.

Don't put 100 percent faith in carfax. When I was using it to check out a few vehicles, I decided to run a van I had at the time that I KNOW was in an accident, had an insurance claim filed, and repaired by a local shop. Nope, no record at all of it in carfax.

The unfortunate thing about Corvettes is that you can't use the age old trick of taking a magnet along with you to check for body putty on that car you are looking over.

I don't put any faith in CarFax!! I've found Carfax to be about the most inaccurate of all the reporting agency's!!

Thats where Knowing what to look for comes into play!!The C3's and back are full of Filler from the factory,If it's too perfect,it's probly had bodywork!!
Knowing what to look for and where to look for it is the key to finding the right one!!
