Default Disgracing Race

As a family thing, I watch the "Amazing Race" with my sons on Sunday evening. This evening's episode comes to a point where the contestants are in Hanoi. Part of what these participants have to do is watch a show where these Vietnamese performers sing and dance, then they have do something or other with the words of the song. The song they're singing is translated on the bottom of the screen for the home audience to see.

It goes something like this ...

Socialism is great. We love socialism. It is coming slow but it is the best ... or some such bull****.

I can't believe, that with so many American soldiers still unaccounted for, that an American production company would even look at Vietnam as a place to spend American dollars or even include in this "Disgracing Race".

I had to leave the room.

Obama's song......would it surprise you to know that $103,078,000.00 has earmarked for foreign aid to Viet Nam for 2013? I think we should have a say as to where our tax dollars go.

With so many American families hurting and out of work, and the fact that the USA is BORROWING money to pay it's bills, and this country is technically bankrupt, what the HELL are we doing sending free money to other countries for anyway?

It's no accident that the government grabbed and tied us up by the short hairs such that we are prepaying our taxes, and then have to petition the government to get back the excess that was taken from us.

Well, It appears that Obama is all about equality. I guess that means he'll give away all our money so we'll be equal to the third world countries we are now supporting. I honestly don't understand WHAT this is all about. It makes no sense to give money away just to borrow it back....But I'M PISSED about it!

It amazes me that we give money away, at the same time cutting the benefits of our active duty military.
Seems the big dog politicians are the only ones getting raises and better beanies.

Yeah, I love hearing them talking about how WE have to sacrifice with increased taxes and other hardships because they overspent the budget. Ever hear any of them volunteering to do any sacrificing themselves? Reducing their staff, taking less salary, or reducing their comfort zone in any appreciable amount?

No, not likely......

They just cannot seem to get it through their heads that the way to balance the budget is by simply to stop spending more money than is coming in. If they do come around to cutting spending, they invariably pick things to cut that will cause as much hardship to as many people as possible rather than cutting out their own pet projects.

And they are apparently answerable to no one for their malfeasance.

We can afford to give 16 F-16's and 200 Abrams tanks to Egypt(who curses us for our support for Israel)yet we can't afford volunteer-led tours of the White House?
No, there is no personal sacrifice by those holding political office. Doesn't seem to have taken a toll on POTUS's golf games or vacations. I think he's had more vacations in the last four years than I have in the last 20 and to think of the millions that has cost us..... Sadly, all we can do is try to vote the clowns out. But apparently we're in the minority these days as we can't even accomplish that. Can we not find a decent leader in this country of 300,000,000 people?

Not that I can recall. Apparently anyone who we, the people, would really want to have as POTUS gets drummed out of the running by the media before there is ever even a real change they will be a contender.

Does anyone actually know anyone who has a clue about what is going on that is not just plain old flat out PISSED at the way our country is being run into the ground?

Seems that no matter who I talk to, no matter where, people are just really fed up with this crap the government is shoveling down our throats.

Apparently 51% of them are lying to you. I don't understand it either. I couldn't believe it when the jackass first got elected and for the life of me I can't understand how he got there a second time. America certainly has changed during my lifetime. And not for the better.

You don't still believe that elections reflect the true will of the majority of the voters, do you? That is playing the game with a deck of cards stacked against you. I mean, seriously, who administers the voting process? How do you know positively beyond a shadow of a doubt that YOUR vote actually was counted for who YOU voted for? Can you check that? Can anyone?

A voting system we are told is designed to protect our own privacy has in reality become a system with no checks and balances, and no way to audit it for accuracy. The results can be anything that whoever controls the voting process wants it to be and we have no way of determining a TRUE count of LEGITIMATE votes.

I know for a fact that my vote for POTUS was not counted. I always thought that any citizen could vote for anyone at all that they wanted to via a write-in vote. But come to find out that any write-in has to be "qualified". And who does this "qualifying"? Why do I not have the RIGHT to vote for whoever in the hell I want to, whether they are "qualified" or not?

So we just get railroaded into only being able to vote for the puppets that we are allowed to vote for, and none other. No REAL statesman that will actually be good for this country will ever get to be "qualified" for us to be able to vote for. So we continually hold our noses and vote for the lesser of the offered evils, which really just turns out to be a wild guess on our part anyway. With everyone lying through their teeth, we simply try to figure out who is telling the lesser number of lies to us.

That is "voting" today.....
