Yeah, just been crappy days here for a few.
Things should be perking up over the next several days, it seems.
Just as well, since Connie hurt her thumbs helping me bring down a tree and I cracked my elbow on a table corner. So we weren't real keen on doing any work outside anyway.

We got 0.87" of rain today with very high winds and lots of lightning. Snapped off the top of a pine tree near the shed, so I have a bunch of limbs to clean up.
Had a tornado watch from 4pm to 8pm.

Yeah, we heard all kind of junk hitting the roof of the house. I sure am glad I cut down most of that dead mimosa tree overhanging the heat pump unit. I still have a dead nut tree out front of the house I need to do something about.
The good thing about having trees all around the house is that this helps to protect the house from the high winds, as the wind will tend to just skip over the tree tops. The bad thing, however, is sometimes the tops of the trees will snap off and come down.

We got 0.51" of rain today. No real heavy downpours, just off an on rains starting in the afternoon and into early evening.
Looks like it is possible we may get a little bit more by morning.
