Default Tracy Lewis (RevXtreme1) WINS at Lakeland!!!!!

Tracy Lewis, owner of the RevXtreme shop and Forum-sponsor, took a customer & their car to Lakeland Motorsports Park's 1/8-mile drag-strip on Saturday 6 December, to assist them with some shake-down runs:
after selling his Black C5, he had driven the shop's LS1 Camaro to the track, and entered the Sportsman/Foot-Brake class.

The Camaro has the shop's intricate 'bracket-tune' program in the computer, which sacrifices some all-out performance, but gains consistency & reliability, which is needed when handicap-start, dial-in bracket racing.

Between turning wrenches on the customer's replica Yenko Nova (he even left the track to buy supplies for the Nova bewteen time-shots), he made a few time-runs, all in the 8.54 - 8.56 range (low 13s), with decent Reaction Times:
when the smoke cleared, he took home the First Place money with another 8.54x run in the Final Round.

I was busy helping Tracy with his customers, and others in our group, so I only got a few pictures while at the track of the 2 Corvettes that I saw in-Competition, a pair of C3s, before Tracy arrived.

Red 69 got into the Semi-finals before he had transmission problems with his '79 hatchback

and this '77, that ran easy 7.80s (low-12s) with a small-block & 4.56 gears with slicks

Thanks guy's. We got Marc Fischers "Bat outa Hell" C5 (Sept or Pct Vette cover car) back together and the 72 nova, so they both needed shakedown runs. We again met our claim of 1-3 tenths improvement over any Yank or Vig converter of equal stall. Mark was running 6.90 (10.80-90 in the 1/4) and Adam Robsons nova ran about the same. I tried to get USA-1 to drive the camaro since I knew I was going to be busy dialing in the two just finished cars.....but he made me drive. First hit I was .001 on the tree...but the car did it's job repeating every run withing a few thou in the same lane. Lucky there were 1st rd buy-backs....I was .002 on the tree & ran under by 1 thou. Thanks for all the help with the cars Glenn!

Here are a few pictures of that car from last month, at a test-n-tune session at Bradenton Motorsports Park

car makes gobs of power, and Fisher qualified this year for the Division Two (SouthEastern) Bracket Finals in Commerce (Atlanta), Ga.:
here, Lewis (Left) and Fisher perpare for a run from that day

Congratulations to Tracy for his win! I was disappointed to see Marc and his awesone 'Bat Outta Hell' Corvette leaving before eliminations. Maybe next time. I had a great time hanging with the gang and will be back to LMP soon. People living in the area and sitting home watching TV don't know what kind of action they are missing.
