Body on, engine out, nut and bolt restoration from 2005-2015 by former owner and past NCRS Rocky Mountain Chapter judge and judging chairman of the NCRS UK Chapter.

2000 miles since restoration (108,841 original miles prior to restoration, approximately 110,900 miles today)

Records dating back to 1979. California Car from 1979-2005 (have copy of CA title and picture of car wearing CA blue plate), in Georgia prior to 1979, in Florida 2005-2016 and currently in NC with clear NC title.

Original 100% matching numbers engine and components, rust-free frame and birdcage (see picture of the unrestored birdcage still with original green zinc chromate primer). Per email from the prior owner, restorer and NCRS judge: “It is the original heads and block with factory stampings... 100% authentic!!! You should not be disappointed and the frame has ZERO rust, a killer frame.”

All external components on engine/drivetrain are original except for the smog pump and air cleaner, including the original carb, L46 intake, exhaust manifolds, AC compressor, transmission and rear differential (I have original valve covers).

THE DRIVETRAIN
All original including the rebuilt L46 motor which runs like a top.
Engine: 19S7305516 VO827HX
Block casting: 3970010
Transmission: tag on case cover 950356, casting on case 3935660
Rear differential case: 2AM M9 1969W
Engine rebuilt by Bad Iron Machine Shop in Bradenton Fl using GM NOS camshaft (#3896962) and hydraulic lifters, new valve springs, forged pistons, hardened valve seats, timing set, etc.
New clutch (Luk), pressure plate, throw out bearing, flywheel resurfaced, flywheel and pressure plate balanced
Original transmission refurbished with Muncie master overhaul kit
Original carb rebuilt and flow tested
New high volume oil pump
Original water pump rebuilt
Original radiator re-cored with original fan

The Rest
PPG – deltron base coat/clear coat, color sanded and buffed to a deep rich, wet-look shine
Original AC compressor fully rebuilt and serviced with new bearings and clutch, new hoses
Recent R134a AC conversion (AC blows cold)
Brake calipers rebuilt/replaced with all new rubber and steel lines, recent new ceramic front pads
New power steering hoses
Smog pump rebuilt
New heater core, NOS control switch, belts, hoses
All new weather-stripping throughout
Original chrome, beautifully replated
Original side window glass (windshield was cracked by a screwdriver during restoration and replaced, have pictures)
New Al Knoch correct code saddle leather seat covers
New Al Knoch correct tan top still like new with clear plastic window
New NOS 80/20 loop carpeting and padding set and carpeted mats.
Original gauge cluster including the clock rebuilt (working) with new lenses
Original AM/FM radio rebuilt with new speakers (working)
Center console and original interior panels removed, cleaned and re-dyed in the correct 421 code saddle and reinstalled
Front and rear suspension rebuilt with new bushings, ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, rear leaf springs, bearings and seals
Driveshaft and half shaft with all new u-joints
Recent front alignment (tracks straight without vibration at all speeds)
All the original born with undercarriage hardware-bolts, nuts, washers, etc. were cleaned, wire-brushed & refurbished
Fiber optics ends were cleaned and tested (though not all currently working)
New complete vacuum hose set (headlight and windshield wiper door and wipers working)
Rally wheels refinished in the correct argent silver, and the car is now rolling on 4 BFG white letter tires
New underbody heat insulation
New alarm switch
New rear defrost switch
Too many replacement small parts to list, all itemized in thick stack of receipts
Recent new fluids (Amsoil ZRod 10W30 synthetic oil, Royal Purple synthetic rear diff oil with correct GM posi additive)
Recent tune-up with new distributer cap, rotor and points

Car runs like a top, stops on a dime, goes down the road straight, no abnormal vibrations or noises, engine pulls strong and will run all day in the North Carolina heat, has never failed me.

No POP or build sheet, car manufactured during the several month period when NCRS shipping reports were lost from GM. Car has never been NCRS judged.
Paint is stunning with deep luster, though has imperfections on hood and rear deck lid, not a trailer queen.

Comes complete with original black vinyl hardtop (I have never had it on the car).

$50K invested, thick stack of well over $22K in receipts not including paint (or the car!)
A beautiful, rust-free, mechanically excellent, highly optioned, matching numbers 69 L46 roadster, ready to go!

Asking a very fair $40,000 (obviously taking a loss). Check out any of the online price guides and add in these options plus hardtop!
Car located in Chapel Hill, NC with clean NC title.
I DO NOT HELP SELLING THIS CAR. Serious buyers are welcome to contact me initially via PM. I am not in a rush to sell so please no low ball offers.
Thanks for looking.
