Default Yamaha 2003 ox66 150 HP outboard NO SPARK

Out of the clear the motor has no spark to all 6 cylinders. Ran great one day and n/g the next - literally!

I checked the ign sw, the kill sw. The fuel pump pressurizes, and the primer bulb gets firm. I cleaned all gr points, and checked that all connectors and harnesses are clean and tight, I checked R in the pulser coil harness and all is in spec.

Is there a boat Dr. in the house?

If anyone is interested, the problem was a fairly simple fix but a real bitch to isolate. I wasn't getting enough voltage to the CDI. A corroded wire in one of the harnesses was the culprit. Once located, I cleaned it up, spliced it, and heat shrunk- and now I am good to go.

Just figured I would share this in case anyone experiences something similar.

It is good to know, because similar problems can cause similar symptoms in our Corvettes. Lord knows that corroded ground wires have likely driving more than one person to excessive drink over the years.
