Forgot to mention. Get the wheels first, especially if you can get them for a steal. Then you mount up the rear wheels, align to where you want them to match the body line, and just measure from the back of the wheel hub to the front of the brake rotor. Measure in MM to get the most accurate reading, and that's the format you have to order the adapters anyway. And just to be clear, get adapters, NOT spacers. If you have time and what to go over board, have ARP studs installed in your stock hub and in the adapters. You'll NEVER have issues with them for sure, but I think you'll be just fine with the stock studs.

And they are all four 9.5" wheels? A 255 is kinda small for a 9.5" wheel. The nitto 555 is not a bad tire at all. Great street tire for sure, and should do decent at the track.

How much is he asking for the set?

Yep, not a bad way to get into the 9.5's. But you will need those rear adapters. But, then you can get what ever wheels you ever want from here on out...minus C6 wheels, they have a different rear offset. Their rear axle width is quite a bit wider. C4 and C5's can swap wheels though. Then just run those tires till you eat them up and get 285/40/17s on all four corners.

I was looking at some wheels on eBay and I noticed on the fitment page that the wheels that fit 84-87 also fit 2001 firebirds . That is what they're mounted on .

Hmmm, that's the first that I've heard of that, but maybe you'll get lucky! I know the bolt pattern is the same, but I don't know backspacing on the Firebirds/Trans Ams. Worst case, you'll have to order some wheel adapters.
