I looked hard at them for my C5Z at one time, but decided to pass. Couple of reasons....

People seemed fairly pleased with them, but realistically you don't get much out of it unless you are driving at a pretty good clip. Some claim you need to be going at least 60 mph and others have gone so far as to say 100 mph. Probably this would be considered to be a non issue to many people as you likely would be hoping for the additional power to kick in when you were going that fast anyway. It won't help you off the line, though.

Nearly everyone seemed to feel that the quality of the materials and workmanship could be a LOT better for the price. "Flimsy" was a word I heard pretty often.

Some issues of hydrolock were brought up as a possible problem. I didn't give this too much credence simply because if you drive through standing water at high speed, no matter what sort of air induction you have you are probably going to wish you hadn't. Generally speaking some air filters do just fine filtering air, but when it comes to being hit by a large gulp of water, well all bets are off. And if you get water into your cylinders, kiss that baby goodbye.

Given the sudden and surprise downpours we can get in Florida, if I were you I would want to keep that at least in the back of my mind and thoroughly investigae Vararam's written claims against hydrolock.

Besides, I had forced induction sort of in the back of my mind, which would have meant wasted money on the CAI for some of the options I was considering.
