Z06Fever! Well, why not? Having one of these toys is definitely an illness for which there is no cure, so let's talk about this specific malady.

We ended up with 440hp/418tq uncorrected (1.00% correction factor) on a Mustang AWD 500 SE Euro. All runs were close to these numbers. The car is a 2007 with 4400 miles and completely stock except for Mild to Wild.

Ambient temp was 82° F with humidity at 44%. Dyno room temps were probably higher.

Nice numbers I wish the C5Z could put out like that but I would have to mod it and I am not ready to do that just yet.

After having a C6Z06 for about a year now, I would have to say that the most impressive thing about the LS7 is that relatively flat torque curve, pretty far up on that graph. A LOT of grunt on the low end which makes it very responsive on the street. Even at rather low rpms acceleration can be astonishing. And in my opinion, the gear ratio in the transmission of the C6Z06 is MUCH better than that of the C5Z06. It just seems to me that it controls the flow of power much more smoothly. Matter of fact, my new transmission for my C5Z that I got from RPM has the C6Z06 gear ratios in it for this very reason.

All in all, the C6Z06 is really a most IMPRESSIVE animal.

I must say that I am VERY glad that Connie talked me into buying one.

Cheap headers can help.

up to 521 whp 510 ft lbs. Up 26hp and 29 ft lbs with OBX headers. $720 shipped.

The main faults with cheap headers is cracking so I Sub Zero Cryo treated them to reduce stress and cracking.

Also, I had them jet coated and decked for good fitment. It took about 5 hours to install, including some header wrapping. After I mounted them I tacked them and then welded the resonators and the whole X pipe.

The sound is great and the hp numbers speak for themselves. Tuned by the same tuner. The only difference is that the first tune was a street tune but with AF readout and the second tune was on the dyno.

I hope this helps people wondering about headers.
