St. Augustine - 2009

Hey Andy,

Are you planning on staying at The Inn on Charlotte, or do you have another place in mind? Rich and I are thinking about getting in on Tuesday and leaving either Thursday or Friday (10/20 - 10/22 or 10/23). How will that work for you two?

We are hoping to get a few more people interested in this road trip. St. Augustine is such a great place to visit.

No reservations anywhere yet. I guess that we'll stay where everyone else is going to.
Those dates look to be OK right now............
Andy

The Inn on Charlotte is a nice place to stay. Pretty much everything is within easy walking distance. And it's a real nice atmosphere in the Inn itself. The last few times we went to St. Augustine we never got around to going to O'Steens for dinner, but we ARE going there this time come hell or high water. The fried shrimp are just awesome there.

Check out the Inn on Charlotte's web site. What do you think? Should we start making reservations?

Yeah! Jim and Debbie will be there. Do you two have a preference on the hotel or bed and breakfast?

Let me know what nights to book, and Dotty and I will get signed up.

St. Augustine - 2009

We just booked the "Audubon's Quarters" for three nights; checking in Tuesday, October 20, and checking out Friday, the 23. Alright Jim and Debbie; make your reservation.

How about you vett boy? Can you make this trip?

There are still plenty of rooms available for this time frame and it would be great if more members could be there.

Count me in. I haven't been a regular poster but I'd like to meet up with you guys. I'm a short drive from St. Augustine so I'll not be staying overnight.

On Oct 17-18 the North Florida Corvette association will have a two day autocross event. Enter for one or two days. No cones to run around. It's a mini road race track. If you are not a NCCC member you can compete in the open class along with other type cars. It might be fun for some. Just something to think about. All you need is a Snell approved helmet.

Here's an S2000 on you-tube running the course.

Trip

Debbie and I checked our schedules and we think week days are rough for us, but I made reservations at the Hilton, just in case and we will advise all Monday of that week. We are members of Hilton and get discounts and points. We can hook up with mobile phones and its only 100 yards from your Hotel. I checked with the Hilton and they have secured parking garage, if anyone wants to park there at $10.00 a night. We will all bond later on schedules etc. and who is going to be social director of this trip (LOL).
:hehehe: Jim and Debbie :hehehe:

CAN THE BOSS OF A COMPANY CALL IN SICK?? (LOL) :lmao:

What are you going to do? Fire yourself?!

I spoke with Lynn at The Inn on Charlotte. She said she would do something special for our group if we can fill the Inn. The last time we had an almost full house, she had a drawing among our group for a free stay at the Inn. She also said to let her know about the parking situation (specific requests). For first timers to the Inn; not all parking is on premise. We park in the secure lot close to the Inn.
