Edit

I<m not sure how long this problem or maybe it's just me, but for at least 3 weeks I haven't been able to edit :shrug01:

How soon after posting are you trying to edit?

C5Rick 01-02-2009 11:33 AM

Anywhere from 10 miutes to a few days.

IIRC, the way Rich has it set up, after a certain time, you can no longer edit.

Short of that though I would think you could.

This is except the BOI page.

I think he has that set up as once it's on the page it stays on the page.

I can still edit my post from 12/27/08 when I replied to Rich about his speeding ticket...something's wrong with yours...

Rick, there's nothing in the settings here on my side that I am aware of that would prevent you from editing. Bear in mind, however, that the BOI is a "set in stone" forum. Once you write something there, it is permanent. I believe all the rest of the forums can be edited after the fact for a good period of time.

I put a time limit on editing because I have seen instances in the past whereby someone getting their panties in a wad over something will go back later on and delete all their messages in spite. Makes threads look pretty bad when that happens, so I have taken steps to limit that sort of damage.

Just sent Vicki out to buy some more. I just hate it when I don't use spell check and after posting so a few errors.
With the new erasers all seems fine now :lmao:
