Default FS (For Sale) 2008 Corvette Z06, 59k miles, $39,000. SOUTH FLORIDA

Hey all,

It’s a difficult choice for me to make, but the day has come, and I am officially putting my 2008 Corvette Z06 up for sale. I will give specs on the car, its history, and a full disclosure in order to give the clearest picture possible to anyone who is interested. I am selling the car because I need something more conducive to daily driving. I’ve enjoyed this car tremendously, it was my dream car since I was 16, but now it’s time to move on now that I’ve had my fun.

My history with the car:

I bought this car July 7th, 2018 from a gentleman in Fort Myers, Florida, with approximately 25k miles on it. I am the 5th or 6th owner. When I purchased the car, it had been garage kept all its life, and meticulously maintained and driven sparingly. The owner prior to me fixed the heads (AHP Package 4), installed a head unit, and I think replaced the starter, but it’s otherwise stock.

Since 2018, it has been my daily driver. It has been parked outside, but meticulously maintained, washed every two weeks and waxed as often as necessary with Collinite 845. All maintenance performed on time by the “Corvette specialist” at Grieco Chevrolet in Fort Lauderdale per Chevrolet’s official specifications.

Basic specs:

-Silver with black leather interior

-Bose audio (I believe 2LZ trim level)

-58k miles, give or take. I continue to drive it daily so this will go up.

-AHP Package 4 Heads (“FIXED HEADS”) and associated hardware. All work was performed by Five Bar Motorsports in Fort Myers, Florida. I have all receipts and paperwork.

-Upgraded head unit (I still have the original head unit and all associated parts).

-Tinted windows (more detail on this below) with all paperwork

-All paperwork for all maintenance since I’ve had the car. I’ve had the BCM replaced, new starter, new alternator (within the past year), new door handle electronic sensor pads, new window motor regulators, new evaporative emissions equipment

-New AC compressor, evaporator, all new stuff etc. in 2019.

-The car has an aftermarket warranty through Carchex, in full force and effect. I pay $170/month for this warranty, but the warranty is transferrable to the new owner. It is an enumerated coverage warranty. Can provide that full contract upon request.

-The car has wiring for a radar detector and comes with the detector. The wiring may need to be re-done at the point where it connects to the detector, but the mount and everything is all hardwired into the car.

-The car has been used as a daily driver since 2018. It has been driven and enjoyed, and maintained accordingly. I have always let the car warm up properly, and to be honest I have not driven the car hard aside from a second gear pull once or twice a month at most. I kind of regret that it’s been driven so gingerly, but whatever.

The “Bad”

-As the car has been my daily, THIS IS NOT A “MUSEUM QUALITY” CAR. It has a few rock chips, it has a couple truly minor scuffs, blemishes, etc. The headlights are a bit clouded. The badge on the front is faded. Paint is very good otherwise, but could use a paint correction if you really want that level of perfection. A lot of the rock chips are more “dust marks” than paint chips, and I’m told that a paint correction would improve or alleviate a lot of these, and the rest can probably be touched up. I encourage you to see the car in person and make your own judgment.

-The car was broken into on June 1st, 2022. The only damage was the driver’s side window, and some minor scratches on the driver’s side door. NO OTHER DAMAGE. The driver’s side window was replaced. I have not had a chance to get it “re-tinted”.

-The car has what I believe is an exhaust hangar that vibrates when the car is warm at idle. Likely from when they dropped the exhaust to replace the emissions stuff. I took the car to Howard Tanner at Redline Motorsports in Pompano, Florida, to take a look at that, as well as what I believed to be a small “whirring” noise when the car is cold. He was not able to replicate either “issue”, so now I’m debating whether or not I’m just being crazy, but I wanted to give a description in the interests of full disclosure.

-During low speeds, if you turn off the radio and AC and listen closely, there’s a creaking noise from the suspension over bumps. Again, not sure how normal this is, but it’s worth mentioning. Probably just some bushings or something.

-The cup holder cover (that little retracting door thing) has broken off. Interior is probably a 9/10 - again, maintained meticulously just like the rest of the car.

I am located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and would be happy to show the car at your convenience if you are a serious buyer. My goal is to be as transparent and forthcoming about the car as possible and to provide whatever information you desire, and in return I only ask that you be respectful of my time (I have to mention this given a horrifying experience I had selling a Mustang a couple years ago).

Respectfully asking $39,000 at this time. Please let me know if I can answer any questions about the car, if there are any pictures you would like, etc.
