Default Rear main crank shaft seal plate on C5 and C6

Darn, wish I had known about this problem when I was having my drivetrain worked on. I would have replaced that plate then.

I had no knowledge of that either but fortunately the guys at SS Performance did when the installed the LS-7 clutch some years ago. It wasn't leaking but as this guy says, anytime you go in there, better to be safe than sorry later.

Yeah, not a chance in hell the place I had my drivetrain worked on last time would have been aware of this. And, of course, those other shops, well...

Hopefully the next time the drivetrain has to be pulled on the C5Z I will be long dead and gone. Or else it will belong to someone else because I got too old to drive it.
