Hi all, thanks for letting me in on the fun.

We have been visiting Florida for over ten years and have finally decided to build in the Naples area. We contracted for it 2 years ago and it’s finally done. I was down there last Tuesday for an inspection and the closing should be tomorrow 6/12. We’ll be going down later this month for a few weeks but we’ll have to return to reality for now. We’ll be coming down as much as our schedules will allow. Since my wife works from home and travels a lot and I’m a Realtor (Indiana and Florida) I’m hoping we’ll be able to be in Florida often.

Before Indiana we’ve also lived in NJ, MD, CT and we were both born in NY.

:welcome: Where did you live while in Maryland? I grew up in the Rosedale area, lived in Fallston and Park East for a while, and finally in Parkville until moving to near Tallahassee, FL back in '91.

Looks like you are moving here just in time to get a brush with our first tropical storm of the season.

Enjoy yourself here. This site was made for us people in Florida with Corvettes.

We lived in Fulton, right next to Columbia. It was a great location right between DC and Balt. I miss MD, it was a great place.

Yes, Alberto popped his head within hours of us signing the papers

Yeah. It looks like today will be a good day for umbrella sales in Naples and most of peninsular Florida.

:welcome: Coastal!

I am in a similar situation. Living in Fallston, Maryland but my office is in Columbia. We built a new home in Ft. Myers and it was completed last year, but we are not able to retire and relocate to the area permanently until sometime next year. My wife and I try to get down there every 6 to 8 weeks to at least get some benefit from the investment. We will be there from the 15th to the 25th of June, so if you need anything during this time that I might be able to help you with, just let me know.

Rich
