How much stuff can you fit in a C5 vert trunk

Thursday I packed up the Vette and we set out very early Friday morning from Indy. Our first stop was at the NCM, we got there just as they were opening and even though there was a big forum cruise in going on, we just about had the place to ourselves.

We hit quite a lot of thunderstorms especially in Georgia and ended up having to stop for the night earlier than we had hoped.

Anyway, we made it home to Florida safe and sound Saturday afternoon and I unpacked the trunk. Among the items that were packed in there as you can see were a floor jack, leaf blower and guitar. I don't think I had another square inch to spare. I must say though, it gets unbelievably hot back there. I actually could not touch a wrench because it was so hot.

Outstanding! Be glad you have the C5...the C6 vert trunk is smaller. I miss the extra space in the C5 trunk on cruises and trips.:yesnod:

Hedge Trimmer?

I can see some of that stuff but a hedge trimmer? And how did you get two bicycles in there? :rofl1:

Yeah, the hedge trimmer was a last minute thing, still not sure why I put that in there but I got it here now! :hehehe:

The trip was 1182 miles and cost me $175 in gas. The most I paid was $4.259 in Florida, the least was $3.979 in Tennessee. The interesting part was my mileage ranged from as low as 21 to a high of 27. We did hit a lot of stop and go traffic in Atlanta but that leg was not the 21 mpg. The only thing I can think of for that leg was the gas, I ended up getting from a GATE gas station (never heard of them) probably not the octane that it was labeled.
