lowering springs

a friend of mine has a 2" drop on his c5 and it looks great. he hasnt had any problems with it other then bottoming out occasionally. what kits have you all used and are you happy with them. also what is the ideal drop? 2"?

There are no lowering springs for c5's. There are spring bolts and adjusters. Generally you will see a 3/4 to 1 inch drop. To go lower than that, there is bushing cutting required.

Get a ride in his car over some big bumps first. The ride on our car got WAY worse on big bumps when we lowered it, bottoming out in some cases. Try hitting those bumps at the north end of the northbound Skyway with that setup. It's like someobody hit you in the back with a sledgehammer

I don't know what a shop would charge, I lowered it myself. I am sure someone on this site could chime in...
