new brake pads

who makes a decent brake pad that wont break the bank. ive got a daily driver. oem pads and rotors. no plans on seriously upgrading brakes. maybe when the rotors go get some cross drilled and or slotted ones. thanks

I highly recommend HAWK pads. You can find them at summitracing.com or jegs.com. I picked up mine locally at Automotive Engineering, but I'm sure there are also other sources locally. I run them on my 89 chevy extcab truck and will adding them to the vette when they need to be replaced soon. Just with crossdrilled rotors, stainless lines and hawk pads I swear my truck is within a couple of feet of stopping distance from my 96 vette.

It depends on your driving habits. I've been running ceramic pads on my '02 Z for about 4-5 years now with no issues. The factory pads were noisy and dusty. If you're gonna track the car, forget about ceramics. The Hawks would be a better choice. I got mine through GMPARTSDIRECT.COM.

i dont see bringing it to the track anytime soon. its just a daily driver that leaves the office going sideways most days.
