i was hoping to get away with just cutting burned section and rejoining the two with one fitting but the lines were to short. ended up having to add a small length of tube. the job wasnt difficult, but there wasnt alot of room to work with. the fittings have held up so far. ive temporarily seperated the lines from the headers with a few layers of header wrap so i can see if the fittings will leak after a week of abuse. once im satisfied they will work im going to wrap the lines. it would be nice to wrap the header but theres absolutely no room. its a pretty fugly fix, but i cant afford to do it right. (new rear brake lines) my vette has been down for quite some time now, but it makes me appreciate driving it that much more. glad to be back on the road.
