Since obtaining my C-5 I found out that if you "flip" your hi-beam/turnsignal stalk (pull it toward you) the fogs will flash. I've not had anyone not return my "wave". It gains their attention and then wave. Only works in the daytime. And you have to have your fog switch in the on position. I know some owners drive with them off, why I don't know. Try it and see what happens. When you do this look at your switch and the "on" light will flash so you know it's working.
