My brother bought a 2008 Dodge Dakota pickup when they first offered the "lifetime" warranty. He's got about 180K miles on it and I think the only thing that has failed that was covered was a water pump. It's had a lot of electrical issues, none of which was covered. It's basically just a powertrain warranty. But it is a good selling point and I suppose it gives you some peace of mind over some expensive repairs.
