Default noise when first starting car

when i first start my c5 i can hear a noise. that after a 15 seconds goes away. only thing i can think of is the oil isnt sticking to the motor so im getting dry starts. any other ideas? supposedly owner never put anything but mobil syn. in it. ive got paper work for most oil changes and thats accurate. ill pay more attention after i get out of work and post more on it.

Or LS6. These LSX motors aren't the quietest motors around, especially the valve train.

Sounds to me that you need to increase the noise from the exhaust in order to drown out that engine noise....

I have a 2 part solution; 1 part exhaust and 1 part Molly Hatchett. That should do it.

Default Loosey Goosey

The initial start up rattle is normal as others have posted. A motor that runs tight doesn't develop as much HP as one that runs a bit looser......enjoy the death rattle and ride it baby!!!
