Default Installing Sound Deadening kit

Hello everyone, just joined.

Any recommendations for an installer in the Tampa Bay area for a sound deadening kit for my 05 COUPE. I will order the kit but need someone to take out seats, carpets, and door panels to install (& replace )

Thanks in advance

I had my C6 done about 18 months ago. Call Auto XTC at 727-573-1292. Larry French is the owner. His son is Brad. John Wilson is his one and only awesome corvette tech. You will be very pleased. Tell them Mark aka THOR sent you. Address is 4400 118th Ave. North, Suite 305, Clearwater/Pinellas Park area.
PS: to the Forum. I would suggest going to the welcome section and introduce yourself. Lots of friendly helpful folks here. Be warned- folks like to see PICS of your RIDE!!!!

Thanks for the great info! BTW did the sound deadening also decrease the heat in the center console and rear compartment?

Some in the center console. Definitely more in the trunk space. I have a vert but would expect the same in a coupe. I can still feel the heat from the center console on a hot day but it is much better than before.

I was going to say the same place. I had mine done there and it was a perfect job. I was very pleased with John's work.

Here are some pics of the removal of the seats and carpet followed by the install of the kit and the replacement of the carpets and such. John took his time and did the install very carefully. If you look at my car now you would never know it was all apart and you cannot see the insulation under the carpet. The sound level dropped some but the heat was a big improvment in my Z06.

WOW... I was thinking that the reflective side of the insulation would be directed towards the heat source.

It is reflective on both sides. The benefit of that is the heat that does creep through the first layer of foil and into the material between will be reflected back by the second layer as well.
