Unhappy Ignition Key "Paddles" Snapped Off!

Fellow Vetters:

Inserted the key for some cruising in my 75, turned the key and the paddles that help to grasp the key for starting the engine broke off. I guess it's some sort of pot metal.
Anyone been in this situation or know the procedure to replace the paddles?
Thanks, j.kelley

Question ???

I know what you mean and have never run into that sort of thing. I would suppose you would have to replace the entire switch? Those "ears" or paddles are part of the ignition switch. Anybody else?

I don't believe they are "needed" to make the key work, but without them, all the stress when turning the key is on the key....
