Z06Fever! Well, why not? Having one of these toys is definitely an illness for which there is no cure, so let's talk about this specific malady. |

Do you think it was the new exhaust that caused it? I'll bet it was back at the dealer on the back of a flat bed....

Either the dealer screwed something up during the install or the car decided to commit suicide? Either way, there will be $$ coming his way.
Look at the bright side...there's a new one coming

Wow, I figured the new Z's were hot but DAYUM! Sorry about the bad joke. That brings up bad memories. I had a '96 T/A that burned up in the driveway in front of my house (loose fuel line). I had just moved in 5 days before and didn't have so much as a garden hose to fight the fire with. After calling 911 all I could do was watch it burn. From the front quarter panel back it was almost unrecognizable as a car.

That sucks! When I saw the title of the thread, I thought "not again with the MY Z06 on the dragstrip". Seen that one too many times. Now I have something else to give me nightmares.

Un freakin believable!
The guy that said to "Buy German" got his A$$ handed to him from several of HIS fellow forum members! Apparently there are some Vetter's at heart over there.?
Quote from the other forum below:
That kind of ignorance annoys the $hit out of me.
Always buy german? You dont know the circumstances behind that fire, you dont know what happened, and neither did the owner, the shop he got his work done at could have done some hack job and even knicked a fuel line in the process, most likely after removing the fuel rails on the LS7.

I would be sick, just plain sick if that was my Z.
ya know, every car group has a few idiots among them, but the bimmer crowd sure seemed to have gotten the lion's share.
