Default Power brake booster on 84

I am about to change booster.
Any surprises will I encounter once I get started?
Cant get a clear viewing what kind of bolt that holds brake pedal to booster but any special tool or needle nose will work fine?

Thanks

I've got a copy of the repair manual if you need it? I can send it to you.

Default 84 vette

Hello Shadow
Sure would be appreiated. I have the over the counter repair manuel but sometimes pics are not clear. I find most times I dig into projects rather than reading. Once I read it then it gets confusing. Most times I just figure it out'

I'm not positive if 84 is the same as 86 but I think so, on my 86 the booster is bolted under the dash to the firewall with 2 10mm nuts you'll need a long extension with a flex attachement I used 1/4 " but 3/8" will probably work. I also took out the drivers seat so I could lay on the floor with my head under dash so I could see what I was doing when disconnecting the brake pedal and switch held in place with a spring clip. On the outside you just need to unbolt the master from the booster, then move it out of the way with the brake lines attached if you disconnect the brake lines you'll need to bleed the system.

This is a follow up and thanks for all the information.
Job was a piece of cake except one bolt too the right of the steering post
Some sort of angled tool along with doing enough of them would have cut the hours on my side and twisting and turning too remove.
the easy one took all of a few minutes and the other was tough but it.s done.
I have a master cylinder all set to go in but thats the easy part, hoping I only have to change booster. If it.s only a booster goet away cheap.

If you still need that repair manual let me know? It was given to me so I'll be happy to pass it on
